December 28, 1945 Jackson Ready Mix was organized under The laws of The State of Mississippi and The corporate charter was issued. The company started its original ready mixed concrete plant at its current location on Woodrow Wilson Drive in what was then Northeast Jackson. The original mixer truck fleet consisted of 22 army surplus trucks.1950 A second ready mixed concrete plant was erected on Julienne Street in South Jackson, Mississippi.1954 A concrete block plant was erected at The Woodrow Wilson Drive location.1958 A facility to manufacture MissLite our trade name a structural lightweight aggregated used in The manufacture of concrete blocks, lightweight concrete, a seal aggregate for roads and many other uses, was built. This facility operated until 1992.
